How is success possible

** How is success possible??

No one gets success overnight Nor is anyone presented on a plate۔۔۔۔۔۔
No birth is successful from the womb of the mother۔ Every human being has to work hard after coming into this world. Those who love their work share the destination.
If some principles are followed, success can be achieved۔

" The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.”

Being a successful artist has always been extremely difficult, imagine if he decided to give up this ambition in favour of something easier?

Oftentimes, people often decided to put their dreams aside for something more “realistic”. To give up their dream for something easier. This quote teaches us the danger of such a point of view.
Instead be ambitious.

** Find What You Love to Do and Do It?

From Oprah Winfrey, Media Mogul:

“You know you are on the road to success if you would do your job and not be paid for it.”

This is a good quote to remember and think about when you’re at work.

Imagine being as successful as possible in your current job. Ultimately you’ll probably find yourself working extremely hard and this it will take up much of your time.

If it’s a job you hate, then being successful at it might only mean filling your life with something you hate to do. What’s the sense in this?

Instead, why not focus on doing something you love? When you’ve found what you’re passionate about, you get the motivation to keep you moving. Success at this means the fulfilment of your dreams.

Not sure what your passion is yet? You should learn about this Motivation Engine first.

Even if you’re not successful, you still filled your time with something you love to do. Many successful musicians spent years of their lives doing unpaid performances, the only reason they kept playing was because they loved to perform.

**  Learn How to Balance Life

ADVERTISING

From Phil Knight, CEO of Nike Inc.:

“There is an immutable conflict at work in life and in business, a constant battle between peace and chaos. Neither can be mastered, but both can be influenced. How you go about that is the key to success.”
All too often, people think that to be successful, they need to make the object of their success their life.

If a person thinks their job will lead them to success, then they may spend countless hours per day, and well into the evening working hard.

However this comes at the cost of rest, your health and having an enjoyable life. Ultimately they may burn out and cease to be successful at their job anyway.

If success comes from having a strong social life and a good group of friends, their job may suffer; meaning that they may lose their job, and then be unable to afford going out with friends.

In these ways, success, as Phil Knight says above, is helped by balance. Think of it as a balance between rest and work, or work and play.

To achieve that balance, this Ultimate Guide to Prioritizing Your Work And Life can help you.

** Do Not Be Afraid of Failure

From Henry Ford, Founder of Ford Motors:

“Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.”
There is a story, it’s unconfirmed whether it actually happened, yet the message within is none the less true:

Thomas Edison inventing the lightbulb was the result of several hundred failed attempts. In an interview, he was asked “How do you feel after all of your failed attempts?”

His response was great, “I didn’t fail, I learned hundreds of ways not to invent the lightbulb”

He saw each “failure” as a lesson. From that lesson he learned what won’t work, and also might work instead.

Each failed attempt, each rejection, were key steps on his path to success. It is easy to feel like you should give up after a failure. But perhaps in that failure is a lesson.

Pay attention to your failures, study them. Perhaps then you’ll learn how to succeed.

Learning from Mistakes

Thomas Edison tried two thousand different materials in search of a filament for the light bulb. When none worked satisfactorily, his assistant complained, “All our work is in vain. We have learned nothing.”

Edison replied very confidently, “Oh, we have come a long way and we have learned a lot. We know that there are two thousand elements which we cannot use to make a good light bulb.”

We can also learn from our mistakes.

A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.

Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor.   Truman Capote

It can very easily make the difference between success and failure.
You must learn from your mistakes and be realistic about your abilities.

Baby Camel and Mother

A mother and a baby camel were lying around, and suddenly the baby camel asked, “mother, may I ask you some questions? Mother said, “Sure! Why son, is there something bothering you? Baby said, “Why do camels have humps?” Mother said “Well son, we are desert animals, we need the humps to store water and we are known to survive without water”. Baby said, “Okay, then why are our legs long and our feet rounded?” Mother said, “Son, obviously they are meant for walking in the desert. You know with these legs I can move around the desert better than anyone does!” Baby said, “Okay, then why are our eyelashes long? Sometimes it bothers my sight”. Mother with pride said, “My son, those long thick eyelashes are your protective cover. They help to protect your eyes from the desert sand and wind”.

Baby after thinking said, “I see. So the hump is to store water when we are in the desert, the legs are for walking through the desert and these eye lashes protect my eyes from the desert then what in god’s name are we doing here in the Zoo!?”

Moral,,,,,
Skills, knowledge, abilities and experiences are only useful if you are at the right place.

** Goals

When it comes to setting you big bold goal, the more you can slice that elephant the higher your probability of achieving it.

Don't Let Others Set The Goals For You
When you let others set your goals or modify them for you, this can have several damaging effects on your ability to achieve them.

First, it's now no longer your goal, and you have no sense of ownership or commitment to this new goal, as its now someone else's goal.

Second, people can look to make you more aggressive and look to set the goal to be bigger than you believe possible, and when you lack belief, this can cause you to quit at the first sign of difficulty.

If people want to be involved, then let them help you define how you will achieve the your goal, but don't let them set a new goal for you.

Be Clear What Success Looks Look
If you don't know what success looks like, how will you know when you have achieved it. If you don't have a clear goal, then you cannot put a clear plan in place to achieve it.

One of my clients was looking to increase their revenue by 50-100 percent in the upcoming year. They were very happy that they were setting a big bold goal, but the challenge is the plan to increase by 50 percent is not the same as the plan to increase by 100 percent.

So which plan are you going to going to implement?
Or are you going to implement any old plan and just hope?

Hope is not a strategy!

Clear goals allow you to create clear plans, which increase your probability of success.

Understand Why This Goal Is Important
If you don't know why the goal is important to you, then it's just random. Understanding the why will give you a stronger sense of purpose, and this sense of purpose will keep you motivated during the difficult times. When you lack a sense of purpose if things do start to go awry, there is nothing stopping you from downgrading your goal and lowering the bar.

To achieve big bold goals, you need to be firm on the goal, but flexible on the approach, and having a strong why will help you keep your eyes on the prize and keep going in the tough times.

** Track Your Performance

I'm a big believer in the adage what gets measured gets done, but I am an even bigger believer in the power of motivation.

When we slice the elephant and know what the small interim goals are, as we start to achieve them, this will increase both belief in the approach and also confidence that success is achievable.

If you're leading a team, then make sure that not only do you track performance, but that you also share the progress with your teams.

When the going gets tough, it's great to hear that progress is being made. Sometimes when you have your head down and are charging towards the finishing line, it can be difficult to know just how close you are and hearing the progress can encourage you to make that final push to get over the line.

If you want to set your self a big bold goal, then to increase your chance of success, be clear about what success looks like, make sure it's your goal and understand why it's important to you, break it down to small goals, track your performance and celebrate each small success. If you can do tht then you will signficantly increase your chance of being in that small group of 8 percent who achieve their goals.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.
